An important part of my role as your local MP is to listen to the issues that affect you and advocate for our community. Many local residents told me that a pedestrian crossing is needed on Alma Road near the shopping precinct
I’m pleased to share some good news with you. After I raised this issue with Transport for NSW, they completed a speed zone review of Alma Road, Faraday Road and Uranus Road. As a result of this review, parts of these roads will have a reduced speed limit from 60km/h to 50km/h, with new signage to be installed in consultation with Council.
With this speed limit change, a pedestrian crossing on Alma Road is now feasible. I am now calling on Council to install this desperately needed crossing.

Road safety is a top priority for me, and I’ll keep pushing for improvements that make our neighbourhoods safer. Thank you to everyone who raised this issue with me.
